[watch] The Philosophy of ‘STAR TREK’

By  · Published on July 29th, 2016

STAR TREK is one of the most successful and popular franchises of all time. The franchise launched in 1964 with STAR TREK: THE ORIGINAL SERIES and has since spawned a number of spin-off shows, movies, books, comics, games and so forth. It’s a cultural impact few other properties have ever had. Aside from providing countless hours of sci-fi entertainment and developing into a never-ending money-making machine, STAR TREK tends to get deep pretty often and that’s all by the original design put in place by creator Gene Roddenberry. The fine folks over at Wise Crack decided to take a deep dive into the world of STAR TREK in an 11-minute video entitled THE PHILOSOPHY OF STAR TREK. It’s a great video that gets into a lot of information in a fairly short amount of time with a major focus on the humanism of the franchise.
