Second ‘X-Men: First Class’ Trailer Wants To Stop A War

Brimming with bleak melodrama, the new X-Men: First Class trailer has hit, showing off the glowering characters and huge action that will hopefully add up to a hell of a movie.

It builds on the previous trailer by adding in a little more character detail and the reason why they fight.

Check it out for yourself:

Perhaps because some of the footage has been out there for a while, this trailer didn’t knock the doors down or anything. It’s calm and quiet, which might be a good sign for the film itself. If they can release a trailer that’s not all bombastic action, the movie might have more than just CGI explosions to offer.

This really does look to be James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender’s movie. The pair as Professor X and Magneto look phenomenal, and there will undoubtedly be a slow descent that tears their uneasy friendship apart. I’ll be looking forward to watching it unravel.

Would you go see it?
