Hulu now has their own Marvel series with some very special and magical teenagers.
Kids all know their parents are the devil. Marvel’s Runaways takes that idea and runs with it. The first trailer for Runaways had its debut at NYCC and introduces the children and their wicked parents. According to EW, the show will follow six teenagers who don’t like each other very much, but will have to team up despite those feelings. It might be a smart idea because their parents are part of a doomsday cult. When having to choose between the apocalypse and unlikely friends, the latter will have to do.

This first trailer is extremely light on plot outside the aforementioned details, but fans of the comic series will see shots and characters they’re familiar with. The comic series from creators Brian K. Vaughan and Adrian Alphona certainly has a large fan base. Runaways looks quite a bit different from Netflix and ABC’s current Marvel offerings with the glimpse into the genetically engineered dinosaur Old Lace being a singular standout.
Runaways stars Rhenzy Feliz as Alex Wilder, a teen with a superior intellect; Lyrica Okano as the witchy Nico Minoru; Virgina Gardner as Karolina Dean, who’s an actual extraterrestrial; Ariela Barer as Gert Yorkes, a teen with a mental link with a dinosaur; Gregg Sulkin as Chase Stein, the wild card of the group, and Allegra Acosta as Molly Hernandez who’s characterized solely by her super positive attitude.
The 10-episode series Runaways debuts on Tuesday, November 21st.
