A Portal Opens on 2–14–2011 to Let Out the ‘11–11–11’ Teaser Trailer

For most of us, we look at a date like 11–11–11 and shrug it off while making a few jokes. Maybe we make a wish at 11:11 (and then again at 11:11pm). For Darren Lynn Bousman, numbers are enough to build a horror film on.

11–11–11 seems to reach back to those fantastic horror films like City of the Living Dead and Ghostbusters to use the mystical date in order to open up a mystical gate. What might come through is anyone’s guess.

The teaser trailer is strong, though. It says very little about the plot, gives some spooky visuals, and definitely leaves you wanting more.

Check it out for yourself:

As you can tell by the watermark, Shock Til You Drop was kind enough to snag the trailer from Bousman’s personal blog and place it into that handy player.

The jumping off point still seems like a gimmick, because it is, but Bousman appears to be taking that lame concept to left field in order to create some solid horror. Fingers crossed that it lives up to this teaser.

I’ll let you guess what date the movie comes out.

What did you think?
