Zombie Orson Welles Cast in ‘Christmas Tails’

By  · Published on March 26th, 2010

There are several factors that make this news story fascinating. One, Orson Welles is dead. Two, 3D isn’t.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Welles (dead since 1985) will narrate the forthcoming Christmas Tails – a story about Santa’s dog saving Christmas. After some lost tapes surfaced with the iconic actor/writer/director/fish sticks salesman narrating the little-known story, producers at Drac Studios picked it up and are developing a film version.

Creative Director at Drac, Todd Tucker, will direct – blending together live-action with CGI and three whole dimensions.

So, is the world ready for 3D movies? Is the world ready for a dog to save Christmas? Is the world ready to find this news story quaint when Drac develops the technology to put the real Orson Welles back into films?

This news would be more monumental if Zac Efron hadn’t already starred in a film with Welles last year.
