20th Century Fox
Nominees were announced this morning for the 88th Academy Awards, which will be held on February 28th with Chris Rock hosting. The Revenant led the pack with 12 nominations and, more exciting, Mad Max: Fury Road was represented in a whopping 10 categories. Both are up for Best Picture, which only includes eight contenders this year.
We at FSR are proud to see that our pick for movie of the year, World of Tomorrow, was honored in the animated short category, our pick for filmmaker of the year, George Miller, is up for Best Director, and our choice of performer of the year, Alicia Vikander, is nominated for Best Supporting Actress.
