Clearly, Spider-Man has the skills to take on whatever monstrosity is thrown his way. His greatest challenge in Far From Home will be navigating his path and not the one others would have him travel. He’s not an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. He’s not Iron Man. He’s not Mysterio’s lackey. He’s his own webhead, and he kicks ass at it.
The trailer closes out with Happy Hogan flying a Quinjet into the heart of London to save Parker’s friends. He gains their trust by telling them that he’s with Spider-Man, and Flash immediately geeks out. “You work for Spider-Man????!!!!”
“I work with Spider-Man, not for Spider-Man!” Poor Happy, unlike Parker, he’ll never be his own man. He’s doomed to a life of a second-fiddle it seems. Accept it and let the anger flow away.
Boom!
Time for plan B. Get the hell out of Dodge and let the costumed folk do all the work.
Spider-Man: Far From Home swings into theaters on July 2nd.
