Someone Give Ruairi Robinson All the Money to Make Leviathan Immediately

This proof of concept sequence is one of the best I’ve ever seen. The visuals are astounding, but more than just a canvas, the timing and tone are sharp, creating a thrilling hunt in only a few seconds. It’s big, bold and involves an angry space whale, so I’m on board. It will also undoubtedly require many millions of dollars to convert into a feature-length film, so a studio needs to be on board, too.

The bonus here is that Ruairi Robinson made it. This is the same mind that brought us Blinky™, a short film that should be shared with as many sci-fi enthusiasts as possible. He’s demonstrated not only an eye for visuals ‐ which seem a dime a dozen both online and at the multiplex ‐ but also for character and story.

Studios, since you’re listening, give this man all the money he needs to make this movie a reality. Don’t think. Just act. [h/t Twitch]
