Why Watch? “History” might be a stretch here (especially since pretty much everything in this fake doc is, well, fake, but it’s a fantastic premise given the perfect, tongue-in-cheek execution.

Switching between sweeping location shots and antique newspaper clippings, this fun short from the Justin and Jared Varava channels Ken Burns by way of Monty Python to take a slightly existential, slightly silly look at a tumbleweed that won’t tumble. It’s innovative while sticking to the usual rules of the genre, and it proves once again that the desert west is perfect for dry humor.
