“Please,” Evelyn pleads, as Regan and the stranger walk on a bridge covered with abandoned cars. “There are people out there worth saving.”
Marcus, who is wearing a pair of headphones connected to a radio, sits up in shock as he hears the voices of multiple strangers over the airwaves.
From there, the trailer gives way to a series of quick shots, featuring the characters in survival mode. Evelyn and Regan run through a warehouse as an alien crashes through the ceiling behind them.
Murphy’s character brandishes a knife. It looks like his hideout or someplace similar has flooded.
At night, he and Regan crawl toward a neighborhood that looks surprisingly populated.
In what appears to be the same neighborhood, the man comes across a young boy standing behind a clothesline. Is the boy living here, or is Murphy’s character imagining a loved one that he lost?
“You don’t know, do you?” he says, once again in the scene in which Evelyn initially asks him for help. “I do.”
Regan stands with her gun at the ready in an empty train car with a gaping hole.
