Benoit observes the family, and they look back at him with worry all over their faces. His voiceover announces that he believes all of them have a motive. One — or more — of them is a criminal.
This scene marks the first appearance of Harlan’s grandson, Ransom Trombey (Chris Evans). Unlike the rest of his family members, he doesn’t look too worried. In fact, his expression suggests that he’s very calm and happy-go-lucky. Could this friendly exterior be a front for a man who’s secretly a cold-blooded killer?
